The experience helped shape Martin's musical identity, blending her country songwriting roots with influences drawn from soul, blues, and rock.
Martin went on to secure her first Nashville publishing agreement as a staff songwriter with Best Built Songs, followed by a second publishing deal and work with respected Nashville producer Joe Scaife.
Among her notable songwriting accomplishments is “Sometimes a Man Takes a Drink,” co-written with celebrated songwriter Larry Cordle and recorded by country superstar Trace Adkins for his album X.
Throughout her career, Martin has performed at some of country music's most recognized venues, including Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium, where she opened for country music icon Tanya Tucker. She has also shared stages with notable artists including Chris Stapleton, Jason Aldean, and the Charlie Daniels Band.
Drawing inspiration from traditional country, Americana, blues, and soul, Martin's musical style reflects an appreciation for honest storytelling and emotionally driven songwriting.
